Two decades of records. Major label exit in 2006. Everything since has been made
on his own terms — most recently a self-produced oratorio.

Tragic Daydreams.
The debut. A vaudevillian fantasy world rendered in widescreen — mannequins,
bones, matrons, apparitions that flicker in and out. Co-produced with Chris
Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails) with mixing predominantly handled by Tony Espie at
Sing Sing Studios; lead single “Stab” mastered at The Exchange,
London. Three ARIA-charting singles. International touring followed.
The break point. First release on his own imprint after walking from the
major label — the moment the catalogue stopped being a Warner project and
started being his. Carries a Van She remix that took home a Billboard Song
Contest Honourable Mention, plus a cover of The Psychedelic Furs that lives
comfortably alongside the original material.

A 2009 single that travelled further than anyone planned. Gary Numan and his
long-time collaborator Ade Fenton remixed it, and Numan returned the original
with a public statement praising the songwriting — a quiet validation
from one of the artists whose lineage MK has always worked inside. The single
picked up international rotation off the back of it.

The return after almost a decade away. Recorded in Collingwood with producer
Woody Annison (Red Door Sounds) and drummer Ryan Caesar (Pearls). Leaner,
darker and more committed than anything that came before it — the sound
of an artist who has stopped negotiating with the room.
The shelved LA sessions, retrieved after a decade. Originally tracked with
Joey Waronker (Beck, REM, Atoms for Peace) on drums, Justin Meldal-Johnsen
(Beck, Nine Inch Nails, M83) on bass and Roger Manning Jr. (Jellyfish, Beck,
Air) on Moog — then quietly archived. Ten years later, MK opened the
boxes and built the album that should have followed Tragic Daydreams.
The deluxe adds three live cuts from Service City, Sydney plus seven
demos and alternate mixes.

Runestones & Keymasters.
Two Key Masters must fulfil a prophecy by uniting to unlock the miracle of
Universal Harmony, defeating an ancient enemy named Silence. Mysticism and
folklore against vintage rock tones and orchestral arrangement. Written,
produced, arranged, recorded and mastered entirely by MK.
